Between Two Worlds

Set between Germany and Morocco in the early 1990s, 18-year-old Lamiya grows up in a North African Berber diaspora family torn between tradition and modern Europe. When her sisters are forced into marriage and her father confiscates her German passport after the weddings in Morocco, Lamiya must decide whether to submit to inherited expectations or strategically fight for her autonomy before her future is sealed.
